In Memory Of...
CDR Howard E. McCord, Jr., USN-Ret, FSA-Scot, KTJ-SMOTJ, Clan MacCord Society Convener & Chief Emeritus. May he rest in peace.

Howard was always keen on kith & kin; His heart's desire was to be sure that every McCord or descendant of a McCord, knew who they were. You cannot know who you are, if you do not know from whom you came, and Howard was always happy to try to help someone find their family line. McCord's have an ancient history in Scotland & Ireland and Howard wanted to make sure that everyone knew how proud they can be of the world wide contributions that McCords have made and especially for the U.S.A. He fought hard to increase Clan membership and worked the McCord tent at all Highland games that he could manage to attend. Nothing delighted Howard more than meeting a new McCord or old friend.
Howard's enthusiasm for the Clan MacCord Society will be missed.
